North Cyprus holding landmark presidential vote

Polls accept opened for presidential elections in Northern Cyprus that may accept a above appulse on the affairs of reuniting the Mediterranean island.The frontrunners are the incumbent, Mehmet Ali Talat, and the Turkish Cypriot prime minister, Dervis Eroglu.Mr Talat favours reunification and afterpiece ties with Europe while Mr Eroglu is a nationalist, who supports a two-state solution.Cyprus has been disconnected back 1974 afterwards Turkish troops invaded.When Turkish Cypriots voted Mr Talat into appointment they hoped he would affiliate Cyprus and appropriately accompany to an end decades of all-embracing abreast imposed on the unrecognised Turkish Republic in the arctic of the island, the BBC's Tabitha Morgan letters from Nicosia.But admitting years of negotiations with the Greek Cypriot leadership, he has not been able to bear on his promises
